As the core modifier of dry-mixed mortar, Redispersible Polymer powder, through its unique characteristic of "redispersing upon contact with water and hydrating to form a film", starts from the reconstruction of microstructure, comprehensively enhancing the waterproofing, crack resistance, and bonding performance of mortar, thus becoming the key to achieving a "balance of hardness and softness" in building materials.

The modification mechanism stems from the formation and function of the polymer film: after adding water and stirring, the latex powder particles re-disperse into a lotion, which integrates into a continuous and flexible polymer network during the hydration process of mortar, forming an interpenetrating structure with the hydration products of cement. This "invisible network" can fill the internal pores of mortar, block capillary channels, significantly increase bonding strength, and impart excellent waterproofing to mortar. Even if there are microcracks in the base layer, it can still block moisture penetration through elastic deformation.
In terms of crack resistance, latex powder breaks the brittle limitations of ordinary mortar. The polymer network can absorb stress caused by temperature changes and structural settlement, reducing shrinkage and cracking. The flexibility it imparts to the mortar makes it resistant to deformation like "safety glass", effectively avoiding "spider web" cracks on walls and cracking issues on the ground.
The improvement in bonding strength is more significant. The polymer film can penetrate the pores of the substrate to form mechanical interlocking, while enhancing the cohesion of the mortar. The bonding strength to smooth substrates such as tiles and polystyrene boards can be increased several times, and the tile hollowing rate can be reduced by more than 80%, addressing the potential for detachment from the root.
From tile adhesive, waterproof mortar to insulation plaster materials, re-dispersible emulsion powder enhances mortar's durability and reliability in construction projects through its triple empowerment of "adhesion, toughness, and protection", becoming an invisible guardian for enhancing building durability.
