The core of its anti-cracking mechanism lies in the construction of a polymer network: after adding water and stirring, the latex powder particles quickly revert to polymer lotion. During the hydration and hardening process of mortar, as the water evaporates, it fuses to form a continuous flexible and tough film, intertwined with the cement hydration products to create an interpenetrating network structure. This "invisible network" not only fills the internal pores of the mortar, refines the pore size distribution, and reduces stress concentration points, but also absorbs external stresses caused by temperature changes and structural settlement through elastic deformation, transforming brittle mortar into a composite material with both strength and toughness, akin to putting an "elastic protective coat" on the mortar.

 

At the same time, latex powder can enhance the cohesion and interfacial bonding strength of mortar, forming mechanical interlocking through penetration into substrate pores, thereby reducing the risk of cracking caused by bonding failure. In application, it is necessary to control the mixing ratio, combine it with high-quality cement and graded aggregates, and synergistically optimize the anti-cracking effect. During construction, it is recommended to ensure an ambient temperature of 5°C to 35°C, avoid high humidity environments, and ensure the complete formation of the polymer film.

 

This technology has been widely applied in fields such as self-leveling mortar and plastering mortar, significantly reducing the risks of shrinkage cracking and crack propagation, providing long-term stability to building substrates, and becoming a key technical solution for enhancing mortar durability.
